Retaining Familial Language – Seminar Series

Modern missiology faces a number of challenges with today’s evolving cultural and religious trends. A current debate is whether it is wiser to retain “familial language” in translations of the Scriptures (specifically references to Jesus as the divine son of God), or to remove or de-emphasize those passages in an effort to make Christianity more attractive to those in Muslim contexts.

Global Initiative: Reaching Muslim Peoples and Assemblies of God World Missions has prepared a position paper on the subject, and we’re pleased to share the following series of lectures from colleagues and scholars.
